For some reason no one EVER opens our entry closet to put their coat in there when they come to my house. Maybe it is because it is too hard to get to it when the front door is blocking it when it is open or maybe (according to my friend Nora) people are scared of what might fall out on them if they open the door of someone’s entry closet. The result is coats/scarves/purses/etc. laying on the bench or on the floor getting dirty with all the lovely spring MUD in Minnesota.
Upon searching for a solution, I found that the wall hanging coat rack I loved from Pottery Barn and the wire hook from the UK were both too expensive (the UK one was just too expensive to ship) so I went with a cheaper option from house of antique hardware. I went with 8 hooks and that is plenty of space for people to hank all their things when we have people over . . .and we love to have people over so at least once or twice a week my hooks get some great use.
