I was fortunate enough to witness a beautiful reunion between neighbors that acted more like family the other weekend. I was at a listing presentation to list and sell a property and as I entered the room, the sweet older woman who was the Seller mistook me for a neighbor that had grown up and gave me the biggest hug! I thanked her for the mistake and told her it made my day! As I was sitting with the Seller and her family, other neighbors came in and reminisced about the old days and how wonderful their neighborhood was and still is. They look after one another’s homes and take care of each other in the event someone needs a hand plowing a driveway, borrowing a tool, etc. They take great pride in their homes and they value their relationships with those living around them. I am so thankful to have found a community like that in my neighborhood and enjoyed that same dynamic as I was growing up. Countless times my neighbor took the time to mow my Mom’s grass and plow my Mom’s driveway – just to be kind.
I just want to say thank you to all the great neighbors out there – that is what makes a wonderful place to live, no matter what type of house you have.
